What RVers Say

Why is Eagle Vision RV the most trusted RV Extended Warranty Provider in America?

Eagle Vision RV was started in 2017 by the owners of 4 traditional RV dealership locations. Although these dealerships were highly successful and later acquired by a publicly traded company the owners never really felt right about the feedback they received from RVers about wanting an RV extended warranty but not liking the price or worse not even realizing the price they paid at a different dealer when it came time to order their payoff.

With that in mind, they set out to find a different way. First, came the location. This would seem like a non-factor but states get different rates from carriers. Georgia was selected for two reasons. One, it carries the lowest insurance rates for RV extended warranty in the country and two the state of Georgia does not charge sales tax on optional extended service contracts. These two factors alone can save RVers thousands of dollars on their purchase. That’s how detailed Eagle Vision RV became to be the low cost RV extended warranty leader.

 FAQs

  • An RV extended warranty is a protection plan purchased separate of the cost of your RV and covers the costs of RV repairs for recreational vehicle owners when their motorhome, travel trailer or fifth wheels breaks down. An RV extended warranty is a protection plan accepted nationally by any repair facility covering RV mechanical breakdowns and repairs. If or when your RV breaks down or is in need of repairs the extended service plan will pay the repair facility directly minus a deductible. RV extended warranties can also come with roadside assistance, trip interruption insurance, technician hotlines, food replacement and other benefits.

  • No, all RV extended warranties are not the same. They have many different coverage options and different administrators. We highly suggest speaking to a specialist who is willing to answer your questions and compare your coverage before you purchase. Some coverage is paid for in a lump sum with a predetermined amount of years and others are paid monthly. Typically the monthly payment options are significantly more expensive in total when compared to the set number of year policies.

  • Yes, most RVs are eligible for RV extended warranty and you can purchase your extended warranty from Eagle Vision RV at a significant discount compared to the dealer. Unlike many sales pitches you do not need to purchase your service plan at your dealer. The cost is significantly less and generally better coverage from a direct-to-RVer company such as Eagle Vision RV.

  • In most cases the answer is yes! You can purchase an extended warranty for a used RV. In most states used RVs do not carry any manufacturer warranty. You can purchase an RV extended service plan from Eagle Vision RV for RVs up to 15 years old from the current model year. This may require an inspection and you can not purchase the extended warranty to fix a currently broken component but you can purchase the extended warranty to cover any future breakdowns or repairs.

  • The answer to this is generally yes as long as it is a reputable repair facility or a licensed mobile repair company. All repairs need to be authorized prior to making the repairs and with a quick phone call to the only 5-star rated administrator in the industry your repair can be handled and approved quickly. Repairs are approved at any location in the US or Canada.

  • Every situation is different, level of skill and RVer are different. You are not required to have an RV extended warranty but after selling 6,000 RVs and previously running 5 RV repair facilities we would highly recommend one for the right situation.

  • No. An RV extended warranty is not a waste of money! Yes, some buyers of an extended service plan will not recoup the full cost of the policy. Others will far exceed the expense in repairs especially with the astronomical price increase to industry labor rates and parts cost. Your extended service plan is here to take away the anxiety of owning an RV and not being able to use it or being stuck in a bad situation while traveling. It is also an investment in your peace of mind knowing you have an administrator to call 24/7 incase of emergency. Although not all RVers will need an extended warranty we highly suggest having the conversation with one of our specialists to at least learn the many benefits of buying a policy.

  • If you are a buyer of a used RV and the exact same RV is being sold by two different private sellers would you purchase the RV with the extended warranty that has protected the RV from repair costs or the one that does not have the coverage and may have mechanical failures you can not see on the surface? If the extended warranty was available to transfer to you as the new owner would you be willing to pay more for an RV that is much more likely not to need repairs? We can tell you it increases the value but it’s pretty clear which RV in this scenario is more attractive.

  • We highly recommend shopping for your RV extended warranty and comparing the costs before purchasing your coverage at the dealership. Eagle Vision RV was specifically started with extremely low overhead and does not carry millions of dollars of inventory or dozens of employees. This has allowed us to be the least expensive option compared to nearly all dealerships evidenced by our thousands of customers. Get a quote and see for yourself. Bring us your dealers options and we’re happy to walk you through comparison of coverage and costs.

  • Yes! You can purchase an RV extended warranty from Eagle Vision RV even if you are buying from a private party owner on a used RV. Half of all RV transactions are sold private party. Eagle Vision RV is the only RVTrader.com partner in the RV extended warranty category. We have guides for you pre-purchase of common issues on used RVs so you can educate yourself. We also have the ability to order a 3rd party RV inspection to minimize the chances of buying someone else’s problems and get you out on the road as a happy camper.

  • Typically the RV extended service contracts cover any mechanical failure or breakdown. There are many categories that these fall into but Eagle Vision RV sells exclusionary coverage meaning if it’s not excluded then it is covered. This is the best type of coverage in the RV industry. We are happy to provide a full quote and complete breakdown of coverage prior to your purchase of coverage. We want you to fully understand your coverage and be comfortable with your decision.

  • RV insurance is very similar to car insurance in that it protects against collision, natural disaster, theft, or road damage. RV extended warranty is designed to pay for the repairs of your house on wheels. Shaking a house for hours at a time with up to a mile of electrical wire, tvs, refrigerators, slide outs, little motors, air conditioners, etc.. can really cause the repair bill to skyrocket in a hurry if things go bad.

  • The average labor rate today for an RV technician is $150/hour and the typical rule of thumb is parts will cost double meaning your repair can average around $450/hour. That can add up fast when considering that technicians will need to diagnose your issue, plan the solution, get the parts, and implement the repair. Make sure to read your service plan or talk to the company selling the RV extended warranty because some policies only cover up to a certain dollar amount of hourly repair service. For instance, if your policy only covers up to $100/hour you will be responsible to cover the shop’s posted labor rates, put at the back of the line or simply told to go elsewhere. Eagle Vision RV’s policies pay posted labor rates.

  • While it’s not guaranteed that you will need repairs, statistics show that 30% of RVs will need repairs in the first 2 years and 80% will need repairs in the first 5 years. This does not reflect needing multiple repairs on an RV which is also typical. A recent study by RVTravel.com showed One-In-Six RVs are currently “out of action” waiting for repairs. With an RV extended warranty you do not have to wait until it’s economically feasible to pay for the repairs and the RV repair shop gets prior approval so they know they are being paid at their posted labor rates with a policy from Eagle Vision RV. Our customers have called years later to thank us for this little considered benefit after having a similar experience.
